Offer Description

In this post-doctoral project, the candidate will work on the fabrication of soft active vesicles and their dynamic behavior under chemical gradients in microfluidic channels. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Prof. Jean Christophe Baret (CRPP), a leading group in microfluidics. The candidate will also interact with theoretical and computational collaborators.

Microfluidic fabrication
Production and characterization of vesicles
Optical microscopy manipulation
Measurements by atomic force microscopy
Image and data analysis (passive and active dynamics)

Additional Information

Eligibility criteria

Ph.D. in chemical engineering/material science/physical chemistry (or equivalent), with experience in microfluidics and/or active matter.

Demonstrated experience in image analysis and particle tracking (Matlab or Python). Biochemistry skills are a plus.
Highly motivated with strong experimental skills.
Good organizational and communication skills. Excellent writing abilities.
Proven experience in supervision and mentoring.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative thinking to develop new approaches and methods.
