Offer Description
Anticancer drugs introduced several decades ago, e.g., cisplatin, are still in widespread use despite non-selective transport and side effects of therapy involving them. The solution to this problem may be using drug delivery systems (DDS) based on nanocarriers, which favor accumulating drugs only in cancer cells. Despite researchers' interest in creating nanomaterial-drug systems, only a small percentage have successfully undergone clinical trials. The project aims to develop a platform of innovative analytical methodologies for characterizing DDSs based on gold nanoparticles and cisplatin, their formation, changes in human blood serum, collection and distribution in a three-dimensional (3D) cellular model, and examination of their intracellular changes. To achieve this goal, the basis will be the employment of inductively coupled plasma ionization mass spectrometry (ICP-MS/MS).
PostDoc's tasks:
• developing methods for testing nanomaterial-drug systems;
• analysis of the results obtained;
• preparation of three scientific publications for JCR journals.
