Offer Description
In this Postdoc project, the candidate will work on the fabrication of soft active vesicles, and their dynamical behavior under chemical gradients in microfluidic channels. The project will be performed in collaboration with Prof. Jean Christophe Baret (CRPP), a leading group on microfluidics. The candidate will also interact with theoretical and numerical collaborators.
- Microfluidic fabrication
- Fabrication and characterization of lipid vesicles
- Optical microscopy experiments
- Atomic Force microscopy measurements
- Image and data analysis (passive and active dynamics)
- Programming (Python or Matlab)

Additional Information
- PhD degree in chemical engineering /materials science /physical chemistry (or equivalent), with experience with microfluidics and or active matter.
- Demonstrated experience in image analysis and particle tracking (Matlab or Python). Skills in biochemistry are a plus.
- Highly motivated, with strong experimental skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills. Excellent writing skills.
- Proved supervision and mentoring experience.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Creative thinking to develop new approaches and methods.
