Offer Description
Applications are open for one (1) Research Studentship(s) for PhD students, within the framework of project/R&D institution “Previsão Operacional de Ondas Utilizando Inteligência Artificial (WAVEFAI)” of the Association of Instituto Superior Técnico for Research and Development (IST-ID), reference CIRCNA/OCT/0300/2019, financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC
Workplan: The candidate to be selected is expected to support and work on research activities in the area of “Artificial Intelligence Models for Atmospheric Data”.
Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 3 months. It’s expected to begin in May 2024, and may not be renewed.

Additional Information
Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1.259,64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.
Admission Requirements: Master in Applied Mathematics and Computation or Engineering Physics, or similar areas and to be enrolled PhD.
Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation, individual interview (optional), with the respective weight of Curriculum evaluation (30%), individual interview (optional) (70%).
Composition of the selection Jury: Prof. Ângelo Teixeira (President of the Jury); Prof. Tiago A. Santos (Member); Prof. Shan Wang (Member).
Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
