DESCRIPTION
IMDEA Energy is opening a Postdoctoral Position between the Electrical Systems and Electrochemical Processes Unit to work on modelling of battery systems for their application in electricity Grid
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- R&D in battery modelling for grid applications.
- Development of a holistic model of battery systems.
- Implementation and proof of concept studies in laboratory environment for battery modelling.
- Participation in national and international research projects related with battery Grid Integration.
- Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals.

REQUIREMENTS
Compulsory Requirements
- PhD. Title in Electronic or Industrial Engineering, Control Systems, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Physical Chemistry or related disciplines.
Other merits to value:
- Solid background in Battery Modelling, Power Electronics, Control Systems and Communication Networks.
- Good understanding of System Modelling, Power Networks, Renewable Energy Technologies, IT technologies and Real-Time Control systems.
- At least 1 year experience of working with modelling systems in Python, Matlab (and Matlab Simulink) and MILP tools.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English

Additional Information
CONDITIONS
- Remuneration: Between 38.000 € – 41.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
- Duration of the contract: Until the end of the project, with the possibility of extension.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
