University for Continuing Education Krems
The University for Continuing Education Krems specializes in part-time academic continuing education. As a public university for continuing education, it works with its expertise in teaching and research to overcome societal challenges and tailors its study programs to address them. With 8,000 students coming from 90 countries, the University for Continuing Education Krems combines its many years of experience in university-based continuing education with innovation to provide outstanding quality in research and teaching at an international level. Situated 60 km from Vienna in the alluring world heritage region Wachau, Campus Krems is a highly attractive location.
In 2023, the foundation stone was laid for the "European University for Academic Continuing Education" (EU.ACE), which is working on a European university model, in which suitable study and mobility models in academic continuing education contribute to the employability and adaptability of students of all ages and of all backgrounds. The University for Continuing Education Krems coordinates this European university alliance. Its partners are higher education institutions from France, Hungary, Germany, Romania, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, The Netherlandsn and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this context, we are looking to fill the following position to work within the EU.ACE coordination office, which is part of the university’s Service Center for International Relations:
EU.ACE Project Manager (m/f/d)
40 hrs./week

Your tasks
- Managing EU.ACE activities (i.e. monitoring and evaluating the implementation process of work packages and tasks)
- Ensuring the delivery of work packages, tasks, and deliverables in collaboration with the coordinator and the institutional project managers at the partner universities
- Acting as the central contact point for the management board and for the coordinator
- Updating the coordinator and the management board on the alliance’s state of activities
- Preparing and participating in regular meetings with the coordinator and the management board as well as preparing of and participating in other regular alliance meetings
- Preparing content for reporting and budgeting purposes
- Preparing content for dissemination and communication activities
- Contributing to managing relationships and communication with the relevant Erasmus+ European Universities Initiative authorities at the European Commission, particularly with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA)
- Maintaining an effective network with counterparts at EU institutions, national representations, and other Brussels-based organizations
Your profile
We require evidence of the following qualifications for the application:
- Completed academic degree (min. master/diploma)
- Relevant knowledge and experience in the administration and management of international projects with at least three partners within an academic context
- Sound knowledge of the higher education landscapes in Europe and beyond
- Very good communication skills, demonstrated high proficiency in written and spoken English (min. C1)
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to understand complex issues and present them in a generally understandable way
- Independent, proactive, and collaborative way of working
- Problem-solving and results-oriented approach
- Strong teamwork skills
In addition, the following criteria are desirable:
- Knowledge of another alliance language (i.e. German, French, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, Dutch or BCS (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian))
Your perspective
- Full-time position (40 hours/week – flexi-time), initially limited until December 31st, 2025, with a minimum salary of EUR 3,266.20 gross per month on a full-time basis (classification according to collective agreement of universities §54 VwGr. IVa), willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications and professional experience
