Offer Description

Our laboratory is interested in brain development, in particular in the roles of immune cells and the impact of environmental perturbations on the elaboration of brain circuits, using mouse genetic models. The mission of the postdoctoral fellow recruited will be to characterize the cellular states and functions of microglia, the brain's resident immune cells, in forebrain morphogenesis.

- Design, conduct and interpret biology experiments.
- Bibliographic monitoring and data compilation.
- Planning and carrying out genetic crosses.
- Data analysis and drafting of laboratory notebooks.
- Formatting of data and regular communication with the research team.
- Scientific communication (drafting of scientific publications, participation in conferences, etc.).

Research will be carried out within the "Brain Development and Plasticity" team at the Biology Institute of the Ecole Normale Supérieure.

Eligibility criteria

- Strong motivation, dynamism, autonomy and team spirit.
- Experience in handling and managing colonies of mutant mice
- Histology and fluorescence microscopy
- Data analysis
- Communication skills in written and spoken English
-The candidate should have previous experience of neuroimmune interaction studies and a good knowledge of the mouse model.
