Offer Description
Institut des Sciences Moléculaires de Marseille (iSm2) is looking for a Postdoctoral candidate to join the STEREO team, under the guidance of Prof. Thierry Constantieux and Dr. Muriel Amatore, to develop a project In the field of atroposelective organocatalysis The general strategy is based on the use of chiral activated dienolates as a polyvalent synthetic platform for the rapid and highly stereocontrolled preparation of underexplored atropisomer families featuring multiple stereogenicities. These chiral intermediates will be involved in formal (4 + 2) and (2 + 3) cyclizations, as dienolate or enolate partners, respectively, to access originals atropisomers featuring up to two five-membered rings connected by a C–N axis, or more challenging N–N axis.
In interaction with two PhD students involved in this project, the activities of the recruited person will consist of defining and optimizing synthetic protocols, carry out the characterization of the products, write reports, participate to draft manuscripts, and to give oral presentations in group seminars and scientific events.
- Duration: Experimental work will be done over 12 months, starting from June, 1st.
- Location: Aix-Marseille University, Saint Jérôme campus, Marseille.
- Salary: 2300-3500 euros gross salary depending on the experience after the PhD.
- Funding: ANR (DINATROP project 2024-2027)
