Offer Description

The RTDA’ s research activity will be carried out within the “VOLT | Viability for circuLar manufacturing” at the University of Brescia. The RTDA’ s research activity is consistent with the topics relating to the National Research Program (PNR) 2021-2027. The activity will consist of the conceptual development and subsequent creation, application and validation of a model for assessing the carbon footprint of the supply chain and the related supply risk, through the analysis and systematic review of the technical-scientific literature, the creation of specific evaluation/simulation models and the realization of case studies on a selected number of players in the ceramic industry supply chain. During the project, an integrated supply chain evaluation model will be developed (data collection, calculation methods, results processing, metrics selection, results visualization) in which the different sources of environmental impact and sources of risk (financial, geopolitical, environmental, circularity) will be systematized from a circular supply chain perspective and according to the Organizational Carbon Footprint methodology standards (ISO 14064|1). The developed model will be used to simulate the performance of the ceramic industry supply system within the Digital Twin model that will be developed during the API-VOLT project, to enable the transition towards a more innovative Circular and Intelligent Supply Chain. Teaching activities: the researcher will be involved mainly on teaching activities related to the courses of the Aggregated Academic Departmental Council and of the academic discipline ING-IND/17. Foreign language: English. Qualification required: PHD obtained in Italy or abroad.
