Offer Description

Research will focus on the development of advanced battery technologies, namely solid-state batteries (EC - Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2021-D2-01-03): ADVAGEN - Development of ADVAnced next GENeration Solid-State batteries for Electromobility Applications; EC - Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2021-D2-01-05): PULSELiON - PUlsed Laser depoSition tEchnology for soLid State battery manufacturIng supported by digitalizatiON ) and batteries with gellified electrolytes (EC - Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2021-D2-01-02): NEXTCELL - Towards the next generation of high performance li-ion battery cells ). The laboratory’s role in the projects refers to the detailed modelling of transport, electrochemical and mechanical processes within batteries at the level of the active electrode material and the elementary electrochemical cell with the aim of improving the current state of model predictability and consequently improving the safety and lifetime of next-generation batteries.

If you are interested in developing detailed simulation models dealing with transport, electrochemical and mechanical processes within modern battery cells and numerically solving systems of equations, we invite you to become part of our young and interdisciplinary team. We offer you the opportunity to work in the latest and most advanced research areas contributing to the digital and energy transformation of the European Union.

The work includes:

  • development of simulation models in numerical environments,
  • the management of individual tasks in international projects,
  • organising work and distributing tasks to colleagues,
  • participating in international meetings as part of projects,
  • preparation of reports.
