Offer Description

The research fellow will carry out activities in the framework of the 2-year international project “3FiRES” and will actively collaborate with the local unit members. She/he will perform experimental investigations, analytical studies and numerical analyses, in order to support the mechanical characterization at room temperature and under elevated temperature/fire exposure for BIPV façade systems. She/he will perform experimental tests and will develop analytical formulations and empirical models to allow to estimate the ultimate resistance of PV glass members and BIPV systems. She/he will also perform Finite Element numerical investigations (i.e. Abaqus) in order to study the mechanical and thermo-mechanical performance, as well as the damage propagation and failure mechanisms, for BIPV façades. During the project, she/he will also interact with the members of the Chinese research unit that are involved in the bilateral research agreement.
