Do you want to contribute to "real world" applications and gain experience in the development of innovative ideas? Then you will want to be a part of the rising Artificial Intelligence Competence Center at NXP, a leading semiconductor company.
Key responsibilities:
At the AI Competence Center, we are looking for a student passionate about applying AI/ML for Medical IoT. Leverage your creativity for implementing new, fun, and innovating ways of deploying AI/ML for medical systems in one of our light-house projects. During this time, our team members will support you to analyze, understand, and integrate a system demonstrator enhanced by AI/ML for a Medical IoT use case. You will work on enabling AI/ML on hardware and the integration of said hardware into an embedded system to showcase an end-to-end pipeline. In the project, you will learn to push your embedded software development and AI/ML skills further. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Benchmarking AI/ML on different (virtual) microcontrollers
- Integrating AI/ML in a hardware accelerator
- Integrating the hardware accelerator into an embedded system for a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) demonstrator
Preferred skills:
- Practical experience with embedded software development (C/C++ & Python)
- Some experience with AI/ML (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax)
- Basic knowledge of Linux & Git
- Hands-on experience with deployment of AI/ML on embedded hardware (e.g., through TFLite (Micro), ONNX, Apache TVM, etcetera) is a plus
Your profile:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Affinity with the Medical IoT domain
- Strong critical & analytical thinking with the capability to work independently
- Excellent English communication skills for interaction with our multinational team across multiple sites
- Looking for a challenging position in a leading Edge AI high-tech company
