Applications are invited for a temporary post of a CBNI Office Lead and Financial and Outreach Administrator within UCD School of Chemistry - Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI).
The Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI) is a leading European Centre for BioNano Interaction science, and draws together specialists from its Universities, Institutes, and companies. The centre is a multi-disciplinary platform for nanosafety, nanobiology and nanomedicine, and is pioneering many of the new techniques and approaches in the arena. CBNI seeks to set standards through commitment to excellence in research and innovation, blended with caution and attention to detail in science, and public dissemination.
The Centre requires a candidate for the role of CBNI Office Lead and Financial and Outreach Administrator who will be responsible for supporting the Director and providing administrative support to the research team, monitoring materials, equipment and ordering, and the financial arrangements associated with that. It will be of benefit therefore if the candidate has an experienced authoritative administrative voice, with the capacity to interact well with a wide variety of people from different cultural, business, and scientific backgrounds. The post-holder will maintain and update the website content; manage social media content; Drive the organisation of events and dissemination activities (including promotions, flyers, and leaflets).
This is a very visible role within an extremely busy and challenging environment requiring a self-starter with a strong dynamic and optimistic perspective, and a capacity to complete tasks in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Salary scale: €50,000 - €62,500 per annum - pro-rata * [Equal to €40,000 - €50,000 p.a. at 31.2hrs pw / 0.8fte]
* Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
