Offer Description
The researcher will contribute to the implementation of the research project PSYDANGER- Dangerous Affairs. The rise of the dangerousness complex, psychiatric reform and the development of human rights in Europe, 1950-2000 (ANR-DFG FRAL 2022). This Franco-German research project aims to shed light on the emergence of the dangerousness complex in France, Italy and Germany from the 1950s to the 2000s. More specifically, the researcher will be in charge of compiling and analyzing a corpus of court cases involving a discussion of criminal insanity in France and Germany. He or she will be involved in all stages of the project, from problem definition to data collection, analysis and publication.
Collection of historical data. Writing scientific notes and articles. Participation in project meetings. Participation in conferences.
Cermes3 (Centre de recherche médecine, sciences, santé, santé mentale, société) is a multidisciplinary laboratory dedicated to the social analysis of transformations in the worlds of science, medicine and healthcare, and their relationship to society. It brings together sociologists, historians, anthropologists, political scientists, economists and psychologists, whose work is divided into 3 areas: diversification of healthcare practices and settings; knowledge policies; innovations, markets and social protection. Cermes3 is a laboratory of the CNRS (UMR 8211), Inserm (U988), EHESS and Université Paris Cité.

Additional Information
Good to very good knowledge of the history of psychiatry and/or prisons in France and Germany after the Second World War. Mastery of archive work methods.
