The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set forth in Articles 113, 116(2)(4) of the Law of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science and, in accordance with § 166 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University, meet the following eligibility criteria:
- have at least a professional degree of Master of Science, Master of Engineering or equivalent;
- demonstrate an aptitude for research work;
- have preparation for teaching work.
1. proven proficient programming skills in C and C++
2. proficiency in at least one of the following: linear algebra, mathematical analysis, probability calculus and statistics, molecular modeling, bioinformatics
3. proficiency in spoken and written Polish;
4. very good knowledge of English, as evidenced by a certificate or other achievements, to communicate freely in this language both orally and in writing.
The following will also be an asset:
documented experience in teaching in Polish with students in biological (e.g. bioinformatics, biochemistry, biotechnology, biophysics) or science (e.g. chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science) majors.

2. personal questionnaire for the applicant for employment,
3. copy of master's or doctoral degree - if the Candidate /Candidate has,
4. information on the scientific, teaching and organizational achievements of the Candidate /Candidate,
5. statement stating that UJ will be the primary place of work in case of winning the competition,
6. a statement pursuant to Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science,
7. a statement of knowledge and acceptance of the principles of intellectual property management and commercialization principles of UJ.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS
1. certificate confirming knowledge of Polish language at least at B2 level (applies to persons for whom Polish is not their native language);
2. a list of publications (including publisher and number of pages);
3. a letter of recommendation;
4. information, if any, on the type and number of teaching activities previously conducted;
5. an opinion on the Candidate's predisposition to work as an academic teacher - including the results of student surveys, if the Candidate has been subject to such an assessment, and scientific activity;
6. photocopies of documents confirming qualifications and acquired skills - potentially relevant to the work of an academic teacher.
The first stage of the competition procedure is formal verification of the submitted documents. Offers that pass formal verification are subject to substantive evaluation during which a recruitment interview may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), after arranging the date with the Candidate.
The Candidate / Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment of the Selection Committee within 7 days of receiving the information.
