Offer Description

What to expect:

  • As part of an assistant professorship, with the support of mentors, you will acquire the necessary conditions to apply for an FH professorship, spending half your time teaching at FH Münster and the other half working at the cooperating company, DRK-Betreuungsdienste Westfalen-Lippe gGmbH.
  • You will teach Bachelor’s and Master’s modules at the Department of Food • Nutrition • Facilities as well as interdepartmental courses.
  • Your teaching and research will focus on nutrition, care, health and participation in supporting refugees.
  • As a team member of the Centre of Competence for Humanitarian Relief, you will work in an interdisciplinary way with colleagues from different schools and departments.

Your background:

  • Your expertise is based on a university degree in ecotrophology, nutritional science, human medicine, public health, social sciences or related sciences, as well as a doctorate completed with outstanding success (at least “magna cum laude”).
  • You already have at least two years of professional academic experience, e.g. as an academic staff member.
  • Scientific knowledge, publications and practical experience in the subject areas to be taught are additional valuable assets.
  • You are able to deliver courses in both German and English.
  • Motivation for student-centred teaching and willingness to travel (within NRW) round off your profile.

  • We offer you salaried employment as a lecturer with specific duties for a fixed term of (up to) three years, with remuneration over and above the standard salary at pay scale E 14 (TV-L), if all the specified requirements are met.
