Offer Description

The Nanobio team is developing new single molecule localisation microscopy methods to push back the limits of these observations in terms of both acquisition speed and depth of observation. In particular, the team has demonstrated the benefits of introducing structured illumination for the observation of complex samples such as tissue or organoids. The aim of this post is to develop a new approach to observ simultaneously multiple targets/dyes by taking advantage of different properties of single molecule. This project will be carried out as part of the EIC Nanoscan, which includes Politechnico di Milano, the CNS, Laserlab and abbelight, and will benefit in particular from a new generation of patented optical chips for generating structured illumination.

The person will contribute to various aspects :
- setting up the new detection of multiple proteins
- validation of the new experimental set-up
- pilot/simulation programming
- characterisation of various samples
- writing articles
- taking part in conferences

This work will be carried out within ISMO (Unité Mixte CNRS / Université Paris-Saclay) as part of a European EIC Transition Nanoscan project involving 2 other laboratories, the european network Laserlab and one company (Abbelight). The laboratory has an on-site culture room and various microscopes for single molecule localization microscopy, SIM and FLIM.
