- development of magnetic resonance gradient systems on the basis of permanent magnets
- Computer simulation of gradient systems and permanent magnets
- Design of prototypes, including electronic control hardware and software
- Fabrication of prototypes
- Characterisation of magnetic field profiles and dynamic properties of prototype gradient systems
- Publication of the results in internationally recognised scientific journals and international scientific meetings
- Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students in related projects
This research center is part of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. With more than 42,000 employees and an annual budget of over € 5 billion, the Helmholtz Association is Germany's largest scientific organisation.
