Job description:

This project aims to develop compact and light magnetic resonance systems that can be embedded outside of a lab setting into engineered systems. In this context, an alternative to traditional resistive coils must be designed. Your responsibilities will include

• development of magnetic resonance gradient systems on the basis of permanent magnets
• Computer simulation of gradient systems and permanent magnets
• Design of prototypes, including electronic control hardware and software
• Fabrication of prototypes
• Characterisation of magnetic field profiles and dynamic properties of prototype gradient systems
• Publication of the results in internationally recognised scientific journals and international scientific meetings
• Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students in related projects
