The Institute Accelerator Operation, Development and Technology is looking for

Doctoral Student (f/m/d) in the field of accelerator physics of electron storage rings

Your Tasks

• Examination of beam dynamics at electron storage rings with negative momentum compaction factors
• Work with tools to model beam dynamics like Elegant, MAD or pyAT
• Perform experimental studies at the electron storage rings BESSY II and MLS
• Take responsibility in the context of the development of user operation
• Present your results at national and international conferences and publish your results in relevant scientific journals

Your Profile

• Master's degree in physics or related fields
• Knowledge of accelerator physics
• Established coding capabilities in Python
• Interest in modern methods of software development as well as modern techniques
