Offer Description
Conducting research in the field of chemistry and technology of polymeric materials. Characterization of polymeric materials using modern analytical techniques. Application of polymeric materials in medical and engineering applications. Development of environmentally friendly technologies. Writing scientific articles and patents. Presentation of results at scientific conferences. Cooperation with industry. Raising funds for research. Teaching students.

Candidates are required to: have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent, having a PhD degree in the field of engineering and technical sciences or another related field, awarded no later than 3 years before the announcement of the competition, very good knowledge of the English and Polish, high motivation for scientific work, independence, creativity, good organization skills, documented scientific achievements in the form of at least 10 publications in journals from the JCR list, including at least 5 as a corresponding author, experience in conducting research projects, experience in leading research projects (at least once as a project manager), completed internship in a foreign scientific organization (at least 3 months), having awards and scholarships for scientific achievements and teaching experience. The candidate's scientific profile and research experience must be related to the scientific specialization of the Department, in particular should consider: - the use of carbon dioxide for the synthesis of polymers, in particular isocyanate-free polyurethanes using polycondensation and polyaddition techniques; - synthesis of organic carbonates and oligocarbonate diols, including research on the preparation of 5- and 6-membered mono- and multicyclic carbonate monomers; - synthesis and analysis of the structure and properties of vitrimers based on poly(hydroxy-urethanes); - knowledge of techniques for characterizing polymeric materials, in particular polyurethanes, such as: NMR, FTIR, GPC, MALDI-TOF, DSC, TGA, DMA and rheological measurements. - application of polyurethane materials in medicine/engineering.
