SWPS University is a non-public university conducting research and offering practical and academic studies in Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, Katowice and Kraków. The University's teaching offer includes courses in social sciences, humanities, but also design and graphics.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of psychology, and a Master's degree in psychology;
  • At least one year of experience in teaching in a university (lectures, seminars, workshops) and preparing teaching materials;
  • Experience in conducting classes in English;
  • Awards and distinctions for teaching activities and teaching evaluations in previous places of employment;
  • Teaching competence as evidenced by certificates or certificates of completion of courses or other forms of training to improve skills in teaching, training and workshops;
  • Experience in developing applications of scientific knowledge to social or business practice;
  • Experience in conducting trainings, workshops and coaching;
  • Experience in fundraising for the organisation's activities and projects;
  • Advanced knowledge of English (at least B2 level);
  • Availability to work weekends;
  • Research interests.

 

Nice to have:

  • Scientific publications in clinical and social psychology;
  • Participation in the implementation of national and international grants (as leader and/or contractor);
  • Active participation in national and international scientific conferences;
  • Experience in popularisation of scientific knowledge;
  • Experience in conducting undergraduate and graduate seminars;
  • Experience in creating new educational programmes;
  • Work experience gained at foreign universities;
  • Organisation of scientific conferences;
  • Interest in new technologies in education.
Specific Requirements
  • Performing teaching duties for full-time and part-time students according to the schedule (teaching on selected weekdays and selected weekends);
  • Performing organisational tasks related to teaching (creating syllabuses, archiving student work, issuing marks, meeting with students in the form of consultations/duty hours);
  • Willingness to perform assigned functions and organisational tasks in the Faculty
  • Involvement in organisational work at the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw;
  • Participation in meetings of the Department of Social Psychology and meetings of the Practical Social Psychology specialisation team;
  • Taking care of the development of teaching competences by participating in internal trainings organised by both the department and the university, e.g. during the Week of Teaching Competences;
  • Supervising student placements in social psychology;
  • Conducting a master's seminar in social psychology;
  • Availability to teach social psychology classes in English;
  • Publication of scientific and popular science articles.

Eligibility criteria
  • Scientific achievements - 25% of the final assessment
  • Teaching achievements – 60% of the final assessment
  • Organisational and practical achievements – 15% of the final assessment
Selection process

Application deadline: April 4th 2024

Competition results announced: April 18th 2024

Date of commencement of work: October 1st 2024
