Offer Description
Contract within the research project „Auscultation of the Universe: search for new physics through primordial gravitational waves” funded by the Polish National Academic Exchange Agency. The aim of the project is to devlop models describing the early Universe and study their possibile signals in the form of gravitational waves. The braoder goals of these models are to explain the source of the observed baryon asymmetry or primary black holes that may be part of the population currently studied by the LIGO experiment.

The position is open to masters and PhD students in physics. The applicants should have good knowledge of basics of high energy physics or cosmology.
Key responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the candidate will be to conduct research in the field of high energy physics and cosmology. In particular, research into the production or detection of gravitational waves, the evolution of the early universe, the production of baryon asymmetry and black holes.

Additional Information
- Employment under a contract of employment, full-time, in an engineering and technical position.
- Salary:46000 PLN including employer's costsfor the entire period of employment .
- Employment is possible from 15.04.2024 to 31.10.2024.
- The work will be performed at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw.

We expect candidate masters students to apply for the status of a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences at the University of Warsaw, and as a result of their work in the project, they will prepare and defend their doctoral dissertation and, as a result, obtain a doctoral degree in the field of exact and natural sciences, in the discipline of physical sciences.
