Offer Description
We are looking for a candidate with a strong expertise in catalysis and transition metal chemistry to work on a collaborative research project between our team at the IRL 3555 and the Engle Lab at the Scripps research institute.
Develop and execute research projects related to transition metal catalysis.
Design experiments and methodologies to address specific research questions.
Conduct literature reviews to identify gaps in current knowledge and propose novel research directions.
Analyze experimental data using relevant tools and software.
Interpret results and draw conclusions from experiments, identifying trends and patterns.
Prepare research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Collaborate with other researchers within both research groups to enhance the scope and impact of the research.
Adhere to ethical standards in research and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
The researcher will perform research primarily at the Scripps Research Institute in close collaboration with the team at IRL 3555.

Additional Information
The candidate must have a PhD in organic chemistry with a strong experience in organometallic chemistry.
Experience working under inert atmosphere using standard techniques.
Experience working with Cu, Ni or Co complexes/catalysts will be a plus.
