PhD student to study mechanisms of natural/therapy-induced immune response against cancer and (neo)antigen vaccine design.

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, diligent young scientist with a keen interest in the immunobiology of cancer, to join the “Neoantigens and Vaccines against Cancer” group at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute, located in Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol HUGTiP (Can Ruti Biomedical Campus, Badalona).

Job duties

• Activities related to the research project (e.g., Western Blot, RNA/DNA purification of tumor tissue, flow cytometry, T cell-based functional assays, including T cell cloning, transfection, and ELISpot, purification of peptide-HLA immunocomplexes)
• Maintaining detailed documentation of experimental work
• Maintaining close communication with PI regarding progress.
• Collaborating in the writing of scientific publications
• Presenting data within and outside the laboratory groups at meetings and symposia
