Offer Description

The "Computational Neuroscience" group of Paris-Saclay Neuroscience Institute (NeuroPSI), and the European Institute for Theoretical Neuroscience (EITN), recruit a postdoctoral researcher for the mesoscopic modeling (mean-field) of neural networks of cerebral cortex and thalamus, with the aim of restoring conscious states in patients in coma. This work will contribute to the European-funded FLAGERA project "BrainAct".

- Computer based modeling and analysis of cerebral cortex and thalamus
- Conception of mean-field models, to include serotonin and NMDA receptors
- Integration of these models in "The Virtual Brain"
- Participate to the scientific animation of the group and the EITN

The "Computational Neuroscience" group is composed of 7 researchers and 2 engineers, and is part of the "Integrative and Computational Neuroscience" (ICN) department of the Paris-Saclay Neuroscience Institute (NeuroPSI). These groups also run the European Institute of Theoretical Neuroscience (EITN). The research team is inter-disciplinary, at the interface between physics, computer science and neurosciences, with a strong implication in European projects.
