Offer Description
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (NCAC), in Toruń, Poland, to work on the radio emission from pulsars.
The successful applicants will join the team lead by Dr Jaroslaw Dyks and work on the project "Testing new ideas on the polarized radio pulsar emission", funded by an OPUS grant of the National Science Center, nr 2023/49/B/ST9/01783.
The project involves diverse possible types of research such as:
1) development of a numerical code to model the intramagnetospheric inverse Compton scattering,
2) fitting physical models to radio pulse data, or 3) heuristic analysis of single pulse polarization data on a number of pulsars.
