On 20 of february of 2024, the University of Huelva issues the following resolution for the recruitment of a University graduate commissioned by the project "WildINTEL. Building a scalable WILDlife monitoring system by integrating remote camera sampling and artificial INTELligence with Essential Biodiversity Variables".

Amount: 1.244,28 € gross, monthly

Duties and responsabilities:

The duties will focus on developing artificial intelligence systems for species identification and counting individuals in camera-trap images for each biogeographical region in Europe. The starting point will be the network for Doñana National Park, which has been developed and constantly improved. The candidate will also be involved in the maintenance, and periodic evaluation of system performance and its improvement. She/he will also support the creation and management of large databases and quality control, as well as the development of  an automated system for species identification and individual counts in biogeographical regions of Europe.

Selection process

Merits based tender process (maximum 10 points):

Average grade of the academic transcript (up to 2 points):
   1. Average grade of the required qualification (up to 1.5 points).
   2. Average grade of other qualification equal to or higher than the required qualification (up to 1 point).
The average grade of the transcript for each qualitication will be calculated as (grade obtained - minimum possible grade) / (maximum possible grade - minimum possible grade).

Scientific-Technical evaluation of the candidate (up to 8 points):
   1. Grants and contracts obtained (up to 1.5 points): a. Research initiation grants (collaboration grants from the Ministry of Education and Science, research initiation grants or scholarships from public Universities) (0,75 points per grant); Other grants (up to 0.5 points, 0.1 points per grant); c. Research-related contracts (up to 0.5 points, 0.15 points per contract year).
   2. Awards achieved (up to 2 points): a. Bachelor's degree extraordinary award (1.5 points); d) Research awards (up to 1 point; 0.25 points per award).
   3. Scientific production (up to 1.5 points): a. Presentations at congresses (up to 1 point) 0.25 per presentation at scientific congresses; b. Scientific publication (up to 1.5 points;
0.5 per scientific publication).
   4. Certified knowledge of autonomous community languages (up to 0.5 points). Only the highest level of the same language will be assessed: a. Level B1 (up to 0.5 points; 0.1 per language); b. Level B2 (up to 0.5 points; 0.125 per language); c. Level C1 (up to 0.5 points; 0.25 per language); d. Level C2 (up to 0.5 points; 0.5 per language).
   5. Stays abroad (up to 1 point): a. Erasmus+ Programme (up to 1 point; 0.10 per month);  b. Other programmes. (up to 0.5 points; 0.05 per month).
   6. Personal interview (up to 1.5 points).

Additional comments

In compliance with Section 8 of the Resolution of the University of Huelva of December 12, 2023, which establishes the legal basis and schedule for the publication of public tenders for personnel contracts for the realisation and execution of projects, grants, agreements and contracts with third parties of fixed duration for the year 2023 (BOJA No. 239 of December 15, 2023), the application must be accompanied by the following documents in order for the applications to be included in the lists of admitted and excluded applicants:
