Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 525862), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Stem Cell Biology, Cancer Immunology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field, and demonstrate exceptional experimental, writing, and communication abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in embryonic stem cells and immunology. In particular, we seek applicants with expertise in techniques relevant to cell biology and molecular biology, such as stem cell culture, molecular cloning, cell sorting, and CRISPR technology. Candidates must exhibit a strong command of written and spoken English, and effective communication skills. Additionally, they should display self-motivation, innovation, and the capacity to thrive in an interdisciplinary team setting.

The appointee will contribute to a collaborative research project aimed at generating novel human cytotoxic immune cells, ITNKs and CAR-ITNKs, derived from human T cells and stem cells, and investigating their potential in treating malignant tumours. The appointee will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists on research projects. Off-campus work may be required.
