Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in computer science? Do you have an excellent research record and the ability to obtaining research funding? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer (analogous to tenure track Assistant Professor) or Associate Professor in Software Engineering to join our internationally outstanding Computer Science activity.

Your research will align with the school’s research themes in computational science and engineering, and in distributed systems and services. The position provides an exceptional opportunity to pursue intradisciplinary research in collaboration with staff in both themes as well interdisciplinary research, in collaboration with extensive software engineering in Leeds and beyond. We are looking for an academic with a proven track record of research in Software Engineering, evidence of interdisciplinarity, and an ability to teach more broadly in Computer Science in a research-intensive Russell Group University.

We will consider applications from individuals with research interests, and an ability to contribute to our teaching, in areas related to software engineering, systems architecture or the underpinning theoretical foundations of computer science. Specifically, we invite applications from candidates capable of bringing an industrial perspective of software engineering and have experience of contemporary design methodologies, architectures and platforms.
