RECTOR OF MARIA CURIE-SKŁODOWSKA UNIVERISTY IN LUBLIN announces a competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Institute of Archaeology the Faculty of History and Archaeology UMCS.
The competition may be entered by individuals who meet the requirements specified in the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742) and in the UMCS Statute of May 29, 2019, as amended.

full-time employment under an fixed-term employment contract from April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, in the primary workplace
- doctoral degree in the field of geology or archaeology;
- candidate’s research and teaching aptitude proved with active participation in scientific life at the international level in the field of mineralogical and petrographic analyses of stone and ceramic archaeological materials, significant scientific achievements in this field (in particular a scientific monograph, scientific articles published in prestigious scientific journals, articles in reviewed post-conference materials);
- scientific achievements after obtaining the doctoral degree;
- significant scientific achievements;
- teaching and organizational experience at a university as a lecturer;
- fluency in at least one Western European language;
- experience in managing and implementing research projects focused on the mineralogical and petrographic analyses of stone and ceramic archaeological materials
APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION SHOULD INCLUDE:

Candidates are required to provide data in the scope resulting from Article 22 of the Labour Code and specific provisions concerning employment in a given position. In accordance with Article 7 paragraph 3 of the General Data Protection Regulation, in relation to data exceeding the scope provided for by law, the data subject has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The data will be processed by UMCS during the recruitment period, and in the case of data processed on the basis of consent, until a possible objection is raised or consent is withdrawn, and after that time for archival purposes, in accordance with UMCS procedures, as well as for the purposes and for the period and in to the extent required by law to secure any claims.
The recipients of personal data may be entities authorized under the law and entities that process personal data on behalf of the Administrator, based on a concluded contract for entrusting the processing of personal data.You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).
The data you provide will not be processed for the purpose of automated decision-making, and will not be subject to profiling.
