Offer Description
We’re looking for a postdoc fellow that is excited about science, enjoys working in a team, and finds the process of discovery thrilling!
The Molecular Physiology lab, led by Associate Professor Sofie Mohlin, focuses on the physiology of healthy embryogenesis and tumor initiation. In this project, you will use chick embryos, patient tissue material and omics data to investigate how hotspot mutations in susceptibility genes affect healthy embryogenesis, organ formation and initiation of the endocrine tumor form paraganglioma.
Our lab is composed of three postdocs, two PhD students, two lab engineers and three students, from a total of seven different nationalities. We believe that diversity in its broadest sense is a strength and a cornerstone of research, and encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. We are based in the historic city of Lund, Sweden, and are part of the strategic research areas Lund Stem Cell Center and Lund University Cancer Center. This provides an excellent scientific environment and opportunities for collaboration.
Contact Dr. Sofie Mohlin (sofie.mohlin@med.lu.se) for more information or to submit an application. Please include a personal letter stating your expertise and interests, your CV, and contact details to two references. The postdoc scholarship is for 2 yearsand available immediately. Your PhD degree must not be older than three years and the applicant must not have been employed at Lund University in the past two years.
