Job title: ERC CoG - PARACRYST

Research line / Scientific-technical services: polymers

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED

The hired person will undertake research tasks within the Polymers Group of the UDC. Specifically, he/she will develop research tasks included in Work Packages 1 and 2 of the grant ERC-CoG PARACRYST (101086805).

These include:

WP1: - determine the characteristic features of the semiparacrystalline microstructrure

-Explore new characterization methods

WP2: - Study thermal properties of semiparacrystalline polymers

-Study mechanical properties of semiparacrystalline polymers

Those allowing to register in a Doctoral Programme (i.e. MsC and equivalent). The candidate must be registered in a Doctoral Programme of SUG.

Eligibility criteria

SELECTION CRITERIA

- Academic record of the higher qualification of Bachelor or Degree in Physics, Chemistry or equivalent, or materials engineering or equivalent: up to a maximum of 15 points that will correspond to a mark of 10 in the academic record (on the typical scale 5-10) . The score awarded in this section will be reduced by a ratio of 2 points for each point in the academic record below the maximum.

- MsC studies in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Engineering or equivalent. 10 point

- Experience in research tasks in the field of the proposed research project (characterization of surfaces): up to a maximum of 15 points at a rate of 2.5 points per month.

- Knowledge of English. up to a maximum of 10 points. Minimum required level: B1 (corresponding to 1 point). Level B2 corresponds to 5 points. From level C1 onwards, the maximum score will be awarded

- Personal interview, among the candidates who obtain a minimum score of 30 points in the previous sections, in which the motivation and interest in the lines of research of the IP will be assessed. up to a maximum of 20 points
