Principal tasks and duties:
Study of proposals and research work on Machine Learning and Deep Learning
(ML/DL) techniques that are applicable to multiple tactical domains in cyber
defence environments, with special emphasis on reliable Artificial Intelligence
(AI) techniques.
Innovative proposals for AI systems capable of training and evaluating reliable
ML and DL models for the identification of cyber threats in real time, making use
of large amounts of data collected from multiple sources of different nature.
Design and implementation of solutions capable of instantiating real-time cyber
threat mitigation mechanisms, by considering the requirements and needs of
cyber defence domains.
Creation and processing of datasets containing cyber threat information in
cyber defence environments, deployed by using virtualisation techniques for
their emulation.
Development of proofs of concept integrating the different developed cyber
threat detection and reaction mechanisms incorporated in solutions based on
intelligent ML and DL techniques. The results obtained will be used to validate
the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the developed tests.
Dissemination of the results obtained in conferences and articles in high-impact
journals.
