Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care (Ref.: 525737), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in health sciences, public health, epidemiology, or other related disciplines, with at least two years of post-doctoral research experience. They should demonstrate strong competency in quantitative data analysis and interpretation, and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. They should have a strong background in healthcare research and track record of publications. Relevant experience in leading and coordinating large-scale research projects in the field of clinical care and/or public healthcare will be advantageous. Experience in teaching undergraduate level courses on health-related topics will also be desirable.

The appointee will lead a team to conduct research studies that aims to evaluate and improve the delivery of public healthcare services in Hong Kong. He/She will assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of research projects using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Other responsibilities include preparing presentations, manuscripts, and reports; supervising junior research staff, collaborating with community partners and external stakeholders; and performing any other relevant tasks as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
