We are willing to endorse candidates interested in submitting a proposal for the MSCA-2024-PF to study the effects of Demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicides on non-target environmental fungi.

Skills/Qualifications

- Strong background in microbiology and bioinformatics, but candidates with relevant experience in other related fields are also encouraged to apply.

- Independence and Creativity.

- Fluent spoken and written English.

- European and non-European candidates of diverse cultural backgrounds are welcomed. The candidate may be of any nationality and no age restrictions apply.

Eligibility criteria

MSCA-PF are for Postdoctoral Researchers of up to 8 years after the PhD. Applicants from any country may apply but must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (Spain) for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the submission deadline to the European Commission (11/09/2024). Periods of inactivity in research (e.g. unemployment, parental leave, etc.) do not count towards the time of research experience.

Selection process

Applicants should check that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and then send to Dr. Sergio Álvarez-Pérez (sergioaperez@ucm.es) an expression of interest consisting of a CV, cover letter, and a document (max. 2 pages) describing the research project that the candidate would like to carry out. Publications and other academic works that the candidate would like to be considered in the evaluation should accompany the application.

Deadline for this pre-selection: 31.03.2024 or until suitable candidates are selected.
