Offer Description
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.
The work carried out by health economists at ISGlobal is a highly motivating combination of field and desk work resulting in significant and impactful research outputs tackling healthcare challenges in low-resource settings. The chosen candidate for this position will contribute to the further consolidation of the health economics team and to its methodological, geographical and theme expansion.

What We Are Looking for
ISGlobal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Systematic Review Researcher focusing on youth mental health determinants. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct a comprehensive systematic review of exposures and exposure measurements related to youth mental health. The candidate will work in strict collaboration with the members of the ISGlobal health economics group and with the projects’ partners (H2020 EARLY project). The position and salary will depend on the skills and experience of the researcher.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a systematic review of literature to identify and gather detailed information on various exposures relevant to youth mental health determinants.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and refine inclusion/exclusion criteria for study selection based on predefined research objectives.
- Search, screen, and extract data from relevant academic databases and other sources.
- Prepare written reports, manuscripts, and presentations summarizing the systematic review findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at project meetings.

Training and experience /Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, public health, epidemiology, health economics) with an emphasis on research methodology or mental health.
Language level
- Required: Excellent English (both written and spoken)
- Good Spanish is a plus
Specific Requirements
- Proven experience conducting systematic reviews or literature reviews, preferably in the field of mental health or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with systematic review software (e.g., Covidence) and bibliographic databases (e.g., PubMed, PsycINFO, Web of Science) is preferred.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Remarkable writing skills, with experience in writing scientific reports or manuscripts for publication.
- Knowledge of youth mental health determinants and exposure measurement methods is desirable but not essential.
