Offer Description
The PCCL is researching new methods for the automatic inspection of product surfaces. The computer vision and deep learning methods that have been developed are used both in laboratory measurement setups and in industrial IN-LINE inspection systems for the detection and classification of surface defects.
Responsibilities:
- Research activities in the field of "AI Tools for Surface Image Processing" and thematic further research and development in the field of new computer vision and machine learning methods for surface inspection applications.
- Collaboration in the development of powerful algorithms for the operation of machine vision systems in the field of 3D component inspection.
- Collaboration in project acquisition and writing research proposals.
- Representing the company at conferences; collaborating with internationally recognized R&D facilities and academic institutions.

- Completed doctoral studies, with one aspect of the doctoral thesis preferably in the field of computer vision or machine learning.
- Python programming skills and experience with machine learning frameworks.

- Advantageous: Experience in the successful implementation of research projects or contract projects.
