The Institute Electrochemical Energy Storage is looking for

Postdoc (f/m/d) for the Tomographic Analysis of Zinc-Air-Batteries

Your Tasks

  • You are responsible for the planning, execution and coordination of scientific research activities in the field of radiographic and tomographic 2D/3D/4D analysis of zinc-air-batteries.
  • You will use synchrotron/neutron and FIB/SEM tomography to analyze electrode materials.
  • You develop novel approaches for quantitative 3D analysis methods.
  • You improve the manufacturing process for electrode materials.

Your Profile

  • Extensive experience in the application and further development of synchrotron/X-ray and neutron tomography methods and their application to battery systems
  • In-depth knowledge of 3D analysis and AI methods in the field of battery electrode materials
  • Expertise in AI techniques in the field of imaging
  • Excellent publication record
  • Very good knowledge of battery materials
  • Very good command of English language
  • Good command of German language
  • High level of intercultural competence and the ability to work in a team
  • Experience in the presentation of scientific results
