Offer Description
The position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Classical Philology of the Adam Mickiewicz University is related to the teaching of Mediterranean Studies (first and second degree) in Polish and English.
The teaching duties will include classes related to the teaching of Spanish culture and language as well as in the specialisation of Mediterranean heritage tourism (first degree).
The employed person will conduct undergraduate theses as well as optional classes connected with the aforementioned specialisation in Polish and English. In addition, he/she will be a supervisor of specialisation internships.

1. research works (books, articles, conference presentations), particularly those thematically related to Mediterranean studies
2. a plan for research development in a three-year horizon (current research, publications in preparation)
3. teaching experience in a higher education institution (other than in the doctoral programme), including evaluation of the teaching carried out as part of the competition procedure
4. proven professional experience related to tourism or cultural institutions
5. upgrading of professional qualifications (courses, training, certificates)
6. other achievements (e.g. popular science publications, participation in team projects, conferences, workshops and trainings related to the development of soft skills)
- Competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents.
- Formal evaluation of submitted proposals.
- Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary.
- Selection of candidates for the interview stage.
- Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements.
- The committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates' work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments in Polish or English with an opportunity for student evaluation.
- The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates' strengths and weaknesses. Submitted documents will be sent back to candidates.
