The Research Group Theory of Electron Dynamics and Spectroscopy is looking for

Postdoc (f/m/d) for Theoretical Spectroscopic Material Analysis

Your Tasks

  • You are executing electronic-structure calculations of excited states in solids, cluster models and molecules.
  • You utilize and extend the group?s own code for machine learning of spectra.
  • You show engagement in the cooperation of experimentalists of HZB.
  • You present your results at conferences and in scientific journals.
  • You are responsible for the methodic training for students (e.g. in the HZB photon school).

Your Profile

  • Very good education in quantum chemistry
  • Experience in the utilization of quantum chemistry codes 
  • Programming skills, e.g. with Python
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning 
  • Good command of written and spoken English
