Offer Description

Basic Function 

 

This post supports the Measures For Water project which aims to monitor and evaluate targeted mitigation approaches to improve water quality in Ireland. The project will combine a range of research methods across multiple study catchments, including: desk studies, catchment characterisation, field/farm/catchment-scale analysis, GIS, multi-criteria analysis, modeling approaches, socio-economic assessment, and multi-actor engagement.

 

The research will include sampling, analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of targeted clusters of on-farm mitigation measures to protect and improve water quality.

 

The successful candidate will co-ordinate and contribute to multiple knowledge transfer activities in the project, and support specific project management activities of the Measures For Water project.

 

Location:   Teagasc, Crops, Environment and Land-Use Programme, Johnstown Castle, Wexford

Salary:  Post Doc (Combined) with a Salary Scale of €41,081 to €49,178

Contract duration:  46 months
