Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies, University of Warsaw announced call for the position of senior assistant at the Department of Social Communication and Public Relations (full-time research and teaching)

Skills/Qualifications
  1. Possession of a PhD in social sciences.
  2. At least 5 years of teaching experience in higher education studies related to social communication, in particular in conducting independent classes in public relations subjects. An additional advantage will be conducting classes at foreign universities.
  3. Research experience in the field of public relations.
  4. Independent organization of scientific or PR industry conferences.
  5. Experience in organizational activities conducted within the university, e.g. running scientific clubs and others.
  6. Achievements in the form of scientific monographs and articles in Polish or foreign scientific journals or PR industry reports.
  7. Business and practical experience in the field of public relations as well as participation in conferences and scientific symposia will be an additional advantage.
  8. Knowledge of foreign languages, including at least one (English) at a fluent level.
  9. Fluent knowledge of a Polish language.
Specific Requirements

The candidate should meet the conditions laid down in art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and in the Statute of the University of Warsaw.

  2. A copy of the doctor's diploma,
  3. Scientific curriculum vitae,
  4. Information on scientific, didactic and organizational activities together with a list of publications,
  5. Personal questionnaire (to be downloaded from the University of Warsaw),
  6. Eligibility criteria

The documents should be submitted by e-mail to the following address: wdib@uw.edu.pl  (as pdf files with the name and surname of the candidate, the position to which the application relates in the filenames of files being sent), in person at the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies of the University of Warsaw,  Bednarska 2/4, 00-310 Warsaw (room 0.18) from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. or by traditional mail to the Faculty's address by March 13, 2024.

Selection process

The competition will be adjudicated by the Division Competition Commission by March 31, 2024. The competition is the first stage of the employment procedure as defined in the University of Warsaw statute, and its positive outcome is the basis for further proceedings.

The candidates will be informed about the results of the competition by phone or e-mail.
