Offer Description
Title and the description of the research project:
The social consequences of being a victim. Research with adults and children.
The project will look in detail at how victims are perceived socially. Specifically, the project aims to answer the following questions: how being a victim affects how a person is perceived by others in terms of their moral and causal qualities, such as competence and intelligence; how a victim who later becomes a perpetrator is morally evaluated by others; how victims perceive themselves in terms of morality and competence. To answer these questions, the project involves seven studies involving adults and pre-school children (13 experiments in total).

- Status as a final year Master's student, or doctoral student in psychology, sociology or related field
- Experience in working with pre-school and early childhood children and/or experience in adult clinical psychology;
- Knowledge of English at min. B2 level;
- Fluency in Polish;
- Willingness to work weekends;
- Research interests in the areas of developmental psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology.
- Participation in all research tasks, including adult and child studies;
- Cooperation with the Project Manager and researchers, and coordinating research projects, including: study design and implementation, data collection, data analysis, data management strategies, as well as preparing research reports;
- Participation in the recruitment process and conducting of research with children and adult participants.

Additional Information
- A scholarship contract for a period of 36 months;
- A monthly salary of PLN 5000 gross;

- Development of academic experience (participation in scientific conferences, seminars and workshops, participation in the preparation of scientific publications).
- The candidate’s scientific achievements, including publications in renowned scientific journals (50% of the final score);
- Competencies to carry out specific tasks in the research project, experience in research work, including working on NCN grants, experience in conducting experimental research (especially with children), knowledge and ability to conduct scientific research, from the design stage to the preparation of a scientific publication (30% of the final score);
- Achievements resulting from research, scholarships, awards and scientific experience, scientific workshops and training courses, participation in projects (20% of the final score).

- presentations at scientific conferences and a list of publications in renowned publishing houses/scientific journals
- participation in scientific projects, workshops and scientific training
- received scholarships and awards related to scientific activities
- A document confirming the status of a student of a PhD degree or Master's degree, or in the last year of studies in psychology, sociology or a related field.
