Offer Description
The BRIDGES collaboration offers 2 post-doctoral positions, one in Algebraic Geometry and the other in Differential Geometry, both based in Campinas, Brazil with a flexible start in 2024.
Profile: Young researcher obtaining or having obtained a Ph.D. in mathematics between January/2017 and February/2024, working in a domain connected with:
– Algebraic Geometry: Moduli spaces of sheaves and complexes (as well as applications to distributions and foliations or freeness of divisors), and Bridgeland stability;
– Differential Geometry: Geometry/topology of homogeneous spaces and Lie groups with a focus on invariant geometric structures, for instance (but not restricted to) (pseudo-)Riemannian metrics, Hermitian, symplectic, SKT, Sasaki, Weyl structures, Einstein metrics, Killing tensors; group action on (pseudo-)Riemannian geometry.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. Each selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
