Offer Description

Low-cost and eco-friendly deep eutectic solvents will serve as media for electrochemical deposition and electroless deposition of Ni, Co, Mo, Fe – containing coatings with high electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and destruction of organic waste. Different types of DES will be tested, and the optimal chemical compositions of DES and deposition conditions, such as temperature, current density, and duration, will be carefully evaluated for each catalyst. The process of deposition will be performed using different metal and carbon-based substrates in the form of monoliths and foams. The chemical composition, morphology, and catalytic activity will be evaluated for all obtained catalysts. The specificity of HER on obtained electrode materials will be characterized in detail. The kinetic parameters and destruction mechanisms of some organic pollutants will be described.

Keywords: deep eutectic solvents, electrodeposition, electrocatalysts, hydrogen, electrochemical waste treatment.
