Offer Description
The research core area of this professorship is on innovative applications of artificial intelligence (AI) for students and teachers at the University of Graz from a content and methodological perspective. This includes researching and identifying the possibilities and limitations of AI-supported teaching as well as its practical implementation. With a strong focus on application-oriented AI, the professorship will be based at the IDea_Lab of the University of Graz, which is dedicated to interdisciplinary research and networking in the field of big data and AI. One key area concerns the conception of an interdisciplinary basic education in artificial intelligence, which is intended to ensure a state-of-the-art transfer of skills in the areas of AI methods/technologies, law, business/labour market, ethics and good scientific practice. Research on the usability of AI in teaching will be interlinked with other “AI-related” professorships at the IDea_Lab and the non-academic strategic issues of the University of Graz.
