We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Research Associate/Fellow to lead participant recruitment, qualitative data collection and analysis to improve the care of children and young people with familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH). Information will be collected from children and young people, parents/carers, doctors, nurses, and other professionals, working in different hospitals and clinics across the UK to understand the current clinical care that is being given.

Working collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team, which includes external academic partners and NHS Trusts, you will lead the planning and delivery of qualitative interviews with children and young people, parents/carers and healthcare professionals. You will then work with the wider research team to consider these findings to understand how FH is diagnosed and managed over time and what the key information needs are for young people and families for starting and continuing optimal FH treatment.

You will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area OR near to completion of a PhD and have experience of collecting and analysing qualitative data, along with experience of recruiting and engaging participants for research and working collaboratively.
