Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 524174), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public health, health economics, biostatistics, computer sciences, or a related quantitative discipline. They must be proficient in data analysis using statistical or computer modelling software, such as R. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.
The appointee will participate in an interdisciplinary five-year health economics and health policy research programme on population health, including modelling the long-term spill over impact of COVID-19 on non-communicable disease outcomes, analysing healthcare utilization, and evaluating public health interventions. He/She will oversee literature reviews, process and analyse data, prepare manuscript and reports, liaise with external parties, supervise junior research staff, assist in the development of new research initiatives, and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
