Job Description

The Neurodevelopment and degeneration lab is seeking motivated candidates for a Research Assistant position. The successful candidate will support research projects and provide administrative support to the team.

Qualifications

Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or equivalent and should be familiar with techniques in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemical techniques such as nucleic acid handling, cloning, PCR, cell culture, Western blotting and immunofluorescence-based microscopy, and be willing to learn new techniques/skills. Experience with handling of viral vectors and/or stem cells would be an advantage.

 

Candidates are expected to be able to work both independently and in team-based projects. Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken English.
