Offer Description
The main task of the job is to contribute to the development of new robotic solutions capable of supporting the rehabilitation process, enabling doctors to attend more patients extending the therapy from simple, repetitive physical stimulation to a multi-modal, patient- and disease-centred approach. While first robotic solutions targeted post-stroke patients, the latest research results emphasized more neuromotor diseases (including chronic ones like Parkinson’s, sclerosis) that can benefit from this therapy, leading to a target group of over 15 million patients worldwide.
Based on the specific expertise the candidate should be able to develop new formulations using advanced mathematical tools and implement them in new robotic solutions for highly interactive and adaptive rehabilitation for patients with neuromotor deficit.
The job is within the project New frontiers in adaptive modular robotics for patient-centered medical rehabilitation - ASKLEPIOS CF 121/15.11.2022, coordinated by TUCN.
